Acupuncture
What Is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a clinically proven, holistic therapy that activates the body’s natural healing systems to restore balance, reduce pain, and improve overall function.
Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and supported by modern medical research, acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body with ultra-fine, sterile needles. These points interact with the nervous system, soft tissue, fascia, circulation, and the brain’s pain-modulation centers to create measurable physiological benefits.
At West Coast Sports & Fitness Center, our licensed acupuncturists combine centuries-old techniques with evidence-based practice to deliver safe, gentle, and highly effective treatments for pain relief, mobility restoration, and stress reduction. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, struggling with chronic discomfort, or seeking a natural way to improve sleep, digestion, or emotional balance, acupuncture offers a proven path to better health.
How Acupuncture Helps Your Body Heal:
-
Reduces pain & inflammation by increasing blood flow and releasing endorphins
-
Relaxes tight muscles & fascia, improving mobility and posture
-
Calms the nervous system to help reduce stress, anxiety, and overactivity
-
Improves circulation & lymphatic flow for faster recovery
-
Balances internal systems, supporting digestion, sleep, hormones, and immune function
-
Supports long-term wellness when paired with chiropractic care, massage, and stretch therapy
