BLUEBERRY BEET JUICE

Blueberries contain flavonoids, a powerful antioxidant, as well as a type of dietary fiber called pectin. In combination with the vitamin and mineral content of beets, this juice packs a powerful nutritional punch.

Equipment

  • 1 Juicer
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Cutting knife
  • 2 Drinking glass cups

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 2 small beets
  • 1 small apple

Instructions
 

  • Peel, cut, deseed, and/or chop the ingredients as needed.
  • Place a container under the juicer's spout.
  • Feed the ingredients one at a time, in the order listed, through the juicer.
  • Stir the juice and pour into glasses to serve.

Notes

Adding some of the pulp to your pressed juice will help restore some of the fiber content. You may also use leftover pulp from juicing in baked goods, such as muffins, or as a base for homemade stocks and broths.
